Lovely Stream

This is a beautifully written poem that should be a contest winner if it were up to me. The imagery of the boys at play in the stream could be any young men of yesteryear or today. The thought of them being fodder in any war is gruesome and true to the world in which we live. I wish it would change. You have underscored the angst of this with your lovely poetry.

Pam, thanks for the very kind words and the obvious appreciation of the heart of the poem.

I think this is the third poem I have read for this contest. I want to be in the place your poem is about. How wonderfully describes. Good luck with the contest.
