Archie and Koko are making good their escape, but are surreptitiously being followed by Ayala, and because she'll sound the alarm, she'll have to go with them, against her will of course, even though she's Koko's sister, she's definitely different. They're surprised by old man Sani, who's coming with them, well done Rhonda, great scribing, I'm glad you're writing your stories, when I was first here you weren't, you were helping Fez, where is he? Well done, blessings, Roy

    Thank you, Roy!!
You have been so helpful with my books and that means a lot.
Yes, I was helping Fez a lot, perhaps more than people think.
He contacts me occasionally, and said he wanted to go back to writing at the beginning of the year, but he hasn't contacted me. I know he has one chapter ready to go, and has had it for months. He said something about starting up a new business and being busy doing that.

    Again, thank you so much!!

Oh, boy.

This could either be really good or really, really bad. Since we are so early in the game, I'm guessing bad. Although... it could go off in a whole different direction.

Nothing boring in here, though.

Peacocks are not in the least bit aggressive, by the way.

Good stuff.

Thank you, I'll change the part about the peacocks. They are one of my mother's favorite animals. lol.

I appreciate the comments, and assure you, things will get much worse before they get better! Thanks for ready and staying with it!

Excellent. Well, you got them out of there, now to keep them out and safe. I don't know why I get so wound up int these stories, but I do. Great work.

I am so glad you've kept up with both books, in spite of yourself. haha. I remember you saying fantasy wasn't really your thing so it really means a lot that you've stayed with both books.

    Take care,

Another fine chapter, Rhonda--and thank goodness they seem to be succeeding in their escape endeavor--'seem' being the operative word!

Right, and we know how quickly "seem" can change.
    Thanks for the wonderful review,

Jeez I knew Ayala would get mixed up in this somehow.
It will be interesting to see if she will change her thinking. She seems a little stubborn at the moment.
A wonderful story with great characters and suspense.
A true page turner.

What a wonderfully vivid imagination you have, Rhonda - this is something so different to what I usually read that I find it refreshing and so intriguing. I hope Archie and Koko will be safe - and I'm wondering what will happen to her sister.

love the description of the old man

"What about our [our] bags?" - lose redundant "our"
common sense has [me] failed me - and redundant "me"

Margaret

Thank you for the kind words, Margaret, and for finding the mishaps, even though I read it so many times I about had it memorized. I guess we see what we want, and not what's there.
Again, I appreciate the beautiful six stars and the wonderful comments,

Verrry good chapter. Lots of tension and excitement, but so far, so good. Maybe they can get out after all. Then authorities will find the mine.

Thank you, Phyllis. They are out for the moment, but it won't be as easy as they hoped! Lots of challenges ahead, I'm afraid.
I do so appreciate the six star review!! How kind and generous!

Another excellent chapter. And we meet another character from this strange place. Poor old Ayala, I wonder what's going to happen there?

"We say in our world, 'a peacock'."- perhaps invert this to 'In our world we'd say Peacock.

over dramatic - overdramatic.

Well, common sense has me failed me - delete the repetition of 'me' from here.

Good stuff

Thank you so much, GMG! I appreciate the comments and Spag alert!

Poor Ayala is much tougher than she seems and gives more than she takes... but to be fair she is being kidnapped.

    Thanks again,
    Rhonda
