It's good to take a day and just think of others. Our cares vanish away and everything seems clean and new. Maybe next week I'll devote two days to others.

Here the poet tells what he wishes today, what he prays to God , what heartily he wishes God knows and acts to the cause of human welfare, growth and prosperity; I enjoyed the read.

As a Christian, and knowing the essence of the faith, one must ask these questions of oneself, did I offer food to the starving, shelter to the homeless, provision for the beggar, service to my brother? The short answer...no! Did I think about it? Yes. Jesus was very "hands on" imagine if we were the same! Beautifully written Portia. Well done, blessings, Roy

Bold picture. Great advice in this poem, it is good to think of others, to help someone rather than hinder them, a kind word costs nothing. The last two lines are very powerful. MaggieF

Of course He is, Portia.
God watches over all His children, both those who refuse to accept and believe in Him as well as those of us who do.
Today is not tomorrow--tomorrow is not today.
it may be filled with sorrow, much woe may come your way.
The moon will set, the sun will rise, another day is born.
God's loving arms embraces all the broken and forlorn...
Nice write.
Enjoy the day.
