Simply another example of what a great man you are, Vance. I didn't read your earlier post, but from the description I can tell I would agree with it and this follow up, also. I myself write like that sometimes and I get where that comes from, the frustration and anger. We think alike in political terms for sure. I could really get into a lot of hot water if I ever went on a political rant on this site. I bet they'd but a bounty on me or kick me out! Anyway, the point I am trying to make is that from this, I see you as absolutely genuine, an empathetic soul and an all-around "Stand up guy. Power to you, my dear friend. Bruce.

It seems as though everyone is offended by something these days. I think some people actually like being offended so they have something to gripe about. Writing is our outlet, we write what we feel. So yeah, there will be times when what we write isn't exactly loved by others; but there is also something beautiful about being genuine and honest even if others don't like it. So you keep being you, and write what you feel. Don't take the bait, ignore the hate! ;)

Hi Vance; your essay gives some good advice as to what to do about the things that anger us in today's over politicized climate. To not watch the news and ignore the postings on Facebook is probably the best one can do.

Anger is simply wasted at this time; action - writing to your congressmen and senators is the best way to make your voice heard,

A very well-written piece of advice. I agree if we don't agree with another's behaviour it is better to cut them off and avoid contact with them, even if it is just to safe yourself from hating another human being.
