You are so right about continuously seeking the illusion. This reminds me of the account of the soldiers playing "cat and mouse with the Nez Perce as they were heading to from what is now USA to Canada for safety. They thought they'd made it and just as they were preparing to cross the border, the soldiers attacked and Chief Joseph their leader was killed before being able to cross. This poem is actually a great metaphor for many of the readers' Pisgah. It will give many cause to reflect on their grieving and loss. Well written

Very sad that Moses would never walk in the promised land, but he was very gifted to be so liked by God. Great visual and very intriguing poem. Good Luck and Best Wishes in the Contest! Sherman541

You did a great job with the alphabet poem and it reads very smoothly. I like the word "gazed" contrasted with the idea that he would never walk the promised land. There is both hope and a sense of disappointment.

Hello, having an 'h' at the end of Pisgah, makes it sound like it might be Hebrew in origin. What a great word for today. I enjoyed your poem about Moses, pretty tough call after he did all that legwork getting them out of Egypt, but then again, the ten commandments aren't just any piece of pottery, are they? I saw no errors, and thought this word and poem were very interesting, and thanks for sharing it. Ana.

Yes, I think he would have every right to feel a bit hard done by. Forty years of loyal service, and that's what he gets for one tiny act of disobedience. Still, not surprising, really. And the story did give us a great word. Many thanks, Craig

Hi Craig!
This one will do extremely well in the ABC contest. I know 'inspirational' isn't exactly your chosen niche, but you are so good with the stories and the facts, maybe it should be, even if only from a Historical perspective. I predict a strong contender here! :)
Thanks for the introduction to the word Pisgah. I love it!
*hugs*
