What an absolute poetic treat for children - and for adults ! A poem filled with sheer magic and imagination -a moment of sheer escapism and a superb pic

Haha.. Very nicely written. I really liked the finishing touch there. Very simple and understandable children's poem. Children dream of so many things and they live in their own bubble and I liked how you depicted it here. All the best for the contest.

Wonderful to read such a light hearted poem which
reminded me of Pucket's Pond years ago. Thanks for
the memory. Thank you for sharing your writing.

I like it! And the kiddies will, too! You have packed all sorts of good things in this one, and I'm sure they will have fun unpacking them. Well rhymed and great meter as well - good luck in the contest with this!

You wrote this well author. Good to read something humorous sometimes. Catchy narrative, which is ideal for the younger generation...almost like a limerick.
Good imagery.
Good luck with the entry.
My best wishes.

I wish you the best in this contest. Your entry is as good as I can think of an entry to be for a children's poem. There is vivacity, whimsy, play and a lovely journey. Such a pleasure to read. It calls to mind the tales of Curious George.

Thank you, Shauna. It's part of a book. Wally started out as an artist who doesn't paint very well, but keeps trying.

A very well-written children's poem with great rhyming choices and a good story to hold the attention of the little ones from beginning to end. They can also learn that everything does not always go the way we plan it all.

Your children's poem contest entry reads smoothly. The meter is great--it bounces along in a fun way. I really like the end rhymes and the internal rhyme that/hat, took/look, cute/suit. Your picture is appropriate, too. It gives readers an idea of what Wally is doing. I like the many things he did. I did not miss the places being named as readers can imagine those for themselves of what they are familiar with. The ending was great. I never expected it, but it works well. Great job and best wishes. Jan
