This is excellent, Tony. Your word choices enhance sentences, which flow along from start to finish. You've brought in nuances that are interesting bits that make the happenings realistic for the reader (pigeon on table at cafe, waiter's reaction to prepay, horse cart and driver, and so on). Great job throughout. Marilyn

A very well-written chapter and a little spy work that seems to be quite a dangerous endeavour, it doesn't seem like Helen is willing to co-operate with the people she has a meeting with.

I love your style of writing. I also like the font you have chosen. Have to check the fonts out and make a note. One of the other FS'ers uses this one too. No spags. Great story. You keep us riding along and I love all the detail of the location etc. Not sure of the era of the story but you mention some modern transport modes I think. Looking forward to more of this.No spags.

Thanks, Sankey. I'm using Garamond Font size 22 for my work here. It seems to be a good one for clarity. The story is mainly set in modern times, with some backstory to earlier times. I appreciate your comments. All the best, Tony

Yes I love it either Robyn Corum or Phyllis Stewart (Stuart??) was using similar.

What now? Of course would descend on the building of ultimate abduction and natter the door Dow, and despatch the abductees. Hah hah. I enjoyed the chase through the streets, front and back, with Charles and the scurrilous brigands Tony, what now indeed, well done, difficult action scenes done well. Well done, blessings, Roy

Thanks, Roy. It certainly doesn't seem that Helen is in cahoots with these people. Charles now seems to have a bit of a dilemma on his hands. I appreciate your comments. All the best, Tony

What now indeed! What about Helen caused them to kidnap her? She's involved deeper than I first thought. Now, Charles has got to decide how to free her. The thick plottens. lol

Hi there,
very nice continuation of the piece. Your tone and writing remains consistent throughout the instalments. A nice plot turn developing here.

Thanks, G. I appreciate your comments. My son, who lived and worked in Ireland for a while, got a good laugh from your NI vocabulary hints. All the best, Tony

Excellent car chase, Tony, and I loved the bit with the old man, that was wonderful. I haven't a 6 left again, you must post your next part on Sunday!! Each part has been of 6 star quality, and I feel shamed that I can only give you a five. What will Charles do now? Will he go into the building, perhaps asking some advice on how to have them as an agent for his books? I have to wait and see. Big hugs, my friend, first class writing. :) Sandra xx

A magnificent car car chase starting with knocking over a cyclist and ending with those two superbly apt gestures from the man on the cart. Then we appear to have witnessed abduction. With echoes of poor Jamal Khashoggi's recent disappearance rattling round my brain, I begin to feel concerned for Helen's safety. At least we have been spared twelve Arabs with bone saws etc. in full view - for the present anyway.
The tension mounts.

Thanks, Jim. I think Helen is safe from the bone saws at the moment. She's still too useful to the story alive. However, who knows what her eventual fate may be?

I love the interaction between the gentleman with the horse and the driver of the car, as well as the details on the waiter and ordering coffee - really adds to the scenery of the piece.
I hope Helen is OK! Looking forward to the next installment.
Have a good day!

Thanks, Marie. Glad you enjoyed the incidental events! I'm hoping Helen is OK, too. The story is still too young for her to die!
