This deserves a 6 star but I don't have one. It yanked the reader in at the start and held a death-grip until the end. Pacing, transitions, word descriptive use...all on target. Good ending point to bring reader back to earth before the next terror. No suggestions.

Very interesting dream - full of mythological creatures and some ominous portent of things to come? It's so nice of Helen to prepare breakfast considering she was pretty emotionally distraught the night before. Hope they ditch Mme Durand!

This is a great chapter, Tony. The words/lines flowed smoothly with great descriptions. I really liked the way you described in detail the nightmare Charles had (although I didn't like the substance of the nightmare). I thought all along that Jeanne was more involved than she let on and knew more than she did about why they were after her. I look forward to reading the next chapter. Thanks for sharing. Jan
