These are the easiest ratings I give out each week. lol
was accompanied by a universally recognised finger gesture. Telephones have that compensation. - lol
A Blue Tit flew across and landed on one of the smaller branches, unleashing a crystal shower. It hopped onto a ripe plum, straddled it with its claws, and started to peck. Why not, I thought? I wasn't likely to be around to eat them.- I love this. The attention to detail and descriptions superb throughout this book.
The Willows was a grand old Victorian property on the banks of the river and built on very much the same scale as Toad Hall.
"Poop! Poop!" I muttered dreamily, as the needle hovered around 70 m.p.h. I love these references to one of my all-time favourite books.
great stuff once again.

Thanks very much for this sterling six-star review, Gareth. Sorry I'm a bit long in acknowledging it, but have been more than usually busy recently. All the best, Tony

Your car reminds me of the triumph stag a friend had years ago. This got me wondering what is Brockenhurst up to...is this a trap...at least Charles will have a friend with him to have his back.
Well penned and I stay intrigued
God bless

Very many thanks for this review, Jenny. Sorry I'm a bit slow getting back to you. I seem to have had rather a lot on recently. I appreciate your comments and affirmation. Best wishes, Tony

Hi, Tony,
Hmmmm. So who on earth is Sir David, really?
I enjoyed this chapter. Especially when he got the MGB out of mothballs. I loved those cars. They were so much fun...and fast.
Thank you for sharing. I'm looking forward to this meeting.

Thanks very much, Patty, both for the review and the six stars. Sorry I've been a bit long in acknowledging it, but have been more than usually busy recently. I have the next chapter more or less mapped out in my head but am yet to commit it to paper.
All the best, Tony
