What a lovely three line poem you've written here Yvette, with a marvellous theme, Perceptive and well worded, with economic language as your weapon, well done, good job, good luck, blessings, Roy

-Nice artwork and
presentation, Yvette.
-The syllable count is good.
-Effective imagery, alliteration,
and personification.
-There are so many things
that "sing to the poet's pen."
-This is one of them!
-I like the concluding line, too.
-Good luck in the contest.

That's sure true - one reads many sorrowful "lost love" poems or hurting stories of sad events in the life. And that must be helpful, soothing to write of these things.
nice poem

The 'other line' encompasses the darker, more fraught side of life that rises unbidden to our minds and needs expression. Happy is easy; we are saddled with sad.

A very well-written three-line poem about the things that can inspire us varied from shattered dreams to joyous events that make our hearts rejoice with joy.

This brevity of this poem as presented, does not detract from the powerful message. It is a cathartic method of sharing emotions for many a writer, without renting an office couch!!! I love the line
"sing songs to the poet's pen..."
Thanks for sharing, and good luck
Hugs, Trisha

Comment from Gloria ....
Some of the best poems come from shattered dreams. Love the allusion to lyrics singing through the poet's pen.
Excellent entry into the contest.
Enjoyed.

This is a well written short poem which fits the contest guidelines. The words "shattered" and "fractured" create a mood within the piece. Thanks for sharing. Keep writing.

Yes even the sad can bring out words of feeling, which sometimes seem to have more power than the happy-unfortunately, but I think our emotions are a good inspiration for the pen, very well written in so few words with great artwork to enhance, best wishes for your contest****kahpot

Those negative feelings certainly do seem to take a tighter hold on us, don't they?! ;) :) But writing tends to be a pretty good therapy sometimes! ;) Thanx for the review, sir -- take care! ;) Yvette
