Vette,
It's okay, I won't tell. (Though I have a weird feeling word may be getting out somehow...?)
Mainly because I have my own eccentricities -- I know! Shocked, are you?
Well, take a breath. It's true.
This was fun. Good luck!

Thanx so much for the review, Robyn -- your support is always so wonderful and I am forever grateful!! ;)
I do so apologize for the tardiness (and cut-and-pastiness!) of this response, I have been (still am!) in the midst of converting everything to online learning for the mandated school closings for the foreseeable future. Once I get ?ahead? in this ?change of venues? (i.e., instruction in cyberspace ? lol!), I promise to be back to ?me? in my responses? you know, the crazy blonde fantasy chick! ;) ;)
Be safe and, remember, if you see any offerings/reviews from me, they are my ?escape? from this insanity? you know, my pressure release valve!! ;) ;)
Take care of you and we?ll be sailing smoothly again in a few more days? hopefully!

Your cinquain captures that element of regret that comes with growing up and finding the mundane in what we used, as children, to find magical. Those who can retain some of the magic in their adult lives and in their writing are truly blessed.

Thank you for sharing your "fairies" with us in this uplifting cinquain. I admired your substantive title--writers of cinquains often forget how important it is. I enjoyed your intensifying the verse with your use of alliteration and your unexpected conclusion. A sure winner! Cheers- Joan

I can certainly understand your time demands. I take continuing education classes through Emeritus College and they hope to be on-line next week. Be well and know this too shall pass- Joan

A poem for the contest! I love the concept of the fairies flying around the fire until it's realized they are merely moths attracted to the light of the fire. Good luck with the contest!

Alas, the revelations of age aren't quite as fun as the imaginings of our youth. Your Cinquain brought many of those youthful memories, fluttering back to me. Thank you and God bless you with your entry.

a cute little piece of optical illusion. But those moths can be fairy like, and some have their own beauty, a frail kind of ephemeral beauty. Very colorful with nice musical touches estory

The old expression "Perception is everything" holds a great deal of truth!
It's like those "shooting stars" that aren't even stars. Your cinquain is lovely and moving.

Good luck in the poetry contest Yvette. It was short, it was sweet and a delight to read. I do so agree that fairies would be nice to see rather than moths. But we can always believe, can't we?

Fables have their place in our lives. They teach us to dream of miracles and "they lived happily ever after" stories. So what's a fairy or two, here and there. Sometimes things seem to be manipulated in such a way that is "Fairylike" and I accept that.
