"Speeding away, a cacophony of pinging gravel rang from underneath the car as it wafted a cloud of dust behind."
This is the kind of narrative that puts the reader in the story and allows him to "be there."
Although I've come late to the party - this is the first installment that I've read - I look forward to catching the ending. It's like watching an episode of MacGyver!

Thank you so much, Pam, for your kind words and generous review. The characters are built in stages from chapter one, every chapter a brick in a wall, so I'm just happy that you took time to read chapter five and weren't bored to tears. Much appreciated!

enjoyed the read. Keep after it. You need to post more frequently and share your adventures with us. We will be anxiously awaiting the next and perhaps, the final chapters.

I, for one, am happy that this story isn't allowing you to finish it because, I really enjoy reading. This is a good write.
"Tucker you ain't gonna pull dat trigger." (comma after 'Tucker')
"Tucker you know I can't tell yah dat. (comma after 'Tucker')
Tucker pulled Heavy out of the truck, mumbling, "damn your name is appropriate." (capital 'D' needed on 'damn')

Great suspenseful and well-written post that gets them out of a tricky and dangerous situation. I enjoyed the story and look forward to the next installation. Well done.

Thank you so much, Tim, for your generous review and kind words. I'm about worn out with this one myself, as I'm sure most readers are too, but I just can't seem to find a way out. LOL. Much appreciated!
