A catered Thanksgiving. I can only dream and imagine. Although I do the next best thing. Order the turkey, dressing and gravy already done from a local grocery store. Then all I have to do is make the sides. The women who were so busy complaining about the work involved, sure didn't like the break in tradition. Good for mom for shaking it up. Great story and perfect for thos holiday. Gretchen

Gretchen, thank you for reading my story. During the 44 years Zoe and I were married she always had a big spread and a dozen or so guests, but one year, we made reservations, she liked that a lot too. Terry.

And Christmas sounds like it could be even worse!

Terry, this was a good read. Out of the characters the mom is my favorite. She's a wonderful, take-charge kind of person. This piece fits the bill right before Thanksgiving. Is this based on a true event? If not, it reads as if some of the characters could be real folks. Thanks for sharing.

Nomi, thank for reading my story. I too would have enjoyed being pampered. In reality I think I was loved and that was what mattered. This fiction had no basis in my life, but still fun to write. Terry.
