Oh, Debi, what a beautiful story in poem. To watch a baby born is so life changing! When you're watching your own born, you're rather distracted, but to watch one born you can sit back and feel the wonder of is transforming. Thank you for sharing this experience with us!
Love and hugs,
Rhonda

That must have been amazing, Debi! My mother saw her first grandchild, (my son) born 53 years ago. She said the same as you. You never actually get to see your own baby being brought into the world. I loved your poem, my dear friend, and congratulations on watching your grandson born. :)) Sandra. xxx
I'd also like to thank you so very much for all the prayers, the love and support you gave me throughout my horrible time since my dearest brother died and my subsequent illness. It meant so much to me, and I believe the prayers did help with my recovery. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! xxxxx

My dearest Sandra, I thank you so very much for your lovely words for my poem about the special day in my life that was so important to me. I am honored by your six stars, so thank you with all my heart.
And I want to thank you for being so appreciative of the things that come naturally for friends. You mean a lot to me, and you always will. So please stay out of that place. Once I spent three months in a care center and never again, I hope! Take care!
Lotsa Love, Debi

The miracle of birth amazed me as a child when I saw guppies being burn in our fish tank! Then I became a mother and a grandmother - isn't life grand? It makes growing old worthwhile the aches and pains. Lovely piece that touches the heart.

What an absolutely beautiful baby! Is this your grandson? You couldn't have presented this more beautifully...photo, frame, color of background, color and elegance of font.
As an RN I adored my time in Maternity... The universe is scrubbed brand new with each new birth.
I had the honor of attending my daughter-in-law through the birth of my first grandchild, Madison.
It was the closest to watching a miracle from God I've ever been, before or since!
I sound like a broken record, but your monorhyme stanzas are almost a trademark of your work and your eight-syllable lines flow very well...
Getting to me a grandmom is worth growing older! (Well, most days...)
Smile.
What is this grandson's name?

Oh Yes, K, isn't it wonderful to have seen your own grandchild born? It is a miracle for all the others too, but to see your son's baby must have been like it was for me.
His name was Connor and he is 20 years old now. I have written about him a lot, but also wrote a short story called, Saving Bridget.
It was a series's of three where God worked with me closely and I called it a gift as without it we would have lost three in the family. I had to go head on against the professionals to do it, but when God speaks wow, I knew it.
One story was about Connor too when I said that he had Lyme disease and they all said no. I bet you remember that. He could no longer walk until we found a Christian doctor who believed me.
I appreciate so very much your lovely words for my poem about the special day in my life when I got to witness my grandson's birth.
I thank you with all my heart. Love, Debi

I thought this must be Connor! (Just wanted to be sure)-- and YES...being there for Madison's birth was a bonding experience that has stayed with us for all of her nearly 20 years.
Excellent joyful poem! Is that Connor in the photo?
If so he should have been a baby model!
-
No. When I wrote
And posted it I was in my bedroom and didn't have one to use on my online photos
-
Ah. But I bet Connor was cuter, right grandmom?
;)
-
Yes, LOL, of course!:
-
How'd I know that?
LOL....

It must be such an amazing thing to witness the birth of your own children and your grandchildren. I can imagine it must be a memory you never forget, but also when they're grown up, it must feel scary how quick time passes. A well written piece Debi, I really enjoyed it.

Hi Debi What a perfect experience for you. Birth is a miracle, children are a miracle. A well written rhyming poem, the words flowed from the page. I suppose like me you remember poems you learned at primary school. If all my school subjects had been taught in poetry form I'd be a very smart lady. Keep writing lovely Lady
