I really hope that Seth isn't have second thoughts about Emma. They seem really good together, and I can feel the chemistry there is between them. I loved the banter between them earlier on the chapter, which made me smile as I was reading it. Now I'll be waiting to see what Seth chooses to do next. An excellent chapter Barbara.

Now we are getting somewhere. I hope you don't wait until the very end to get Seth and Emma together. We've got to have a wedding somewhere along the line.

Aww that's lovely, Barbara! They're getting closer and closer and the banter is good between them too. But Emma is still very young and naive and not really understanding how their intimacy affected Seth to the point that he had no choice than to leave. I love the frisson that you've introduced in their relationship so naturally. This is excellent writing. Well done, Barbara! My best wishes, Debbie.

Seth is bring a gentleman and showing his respect for Emma. This goes with the flow between these two. Well written, Barbara, keeping in line with the story prior to this.
A Mother's intuition... always in tune aren't they (and you).
Looking for the next chapter!

Thank you for the kind review. I'm having a grandmother's intuition right now about an 18-year-old grandson. He's not got back to me either. Still praying, though.

What a romantic chapter that ended with a bang. I can visualize how this book will end. It has been so good. I like the characters so much. Do you like to dance yourself? The video is wonderful for a slow dance.

Yes, I do like to dance. I could visualize a couple slow dancing to this song in their living room. LOL Thank you for the kind review.

Thank you for sharing this. I've had this same experience and I was similarly confused at the time but later looked back on it and realised that I was being looked after. :)

The small talk between Seth and Emma leads subtly to this awkward moment when he balks away from kissing her as they slow dance. Something, maybe the age difference, keeps him from taking this last step. I like how the emotion surges under the current of the idle language on the surface. It is all pretty realistic, and speaks to all these things that can make relationships difficult. estory

My goodness! How slow are they taking this? Of course, it's only been 29 days, but still. The feelings are there. Your characters are so real, I find myself getting caught up in their emotions.

I'm taking it slow. I'm still building the relationship. A strong relationship will be needed for what Emma's headed for. Thank you for the kind review.

The air fryer seems to be the thing for the day. So sad about the kid being left out the will. I told mine, good or bad, they are still mine and everything will be divided Good one, Barb. As always,

So true. I felt this was there to show Seth's sympathy for his younger sister. Thank you for the kind review.

They are dating so I'm not sure what Seth's hang up was. I'm sure we shall find out. New relationships are always weird and awkward. So glad I am married. Ha!
Good read! I liked the quote in the notes!
