Great job, Barb. So we have to wait until the last post. The way things started, I thought Seth was going to pop the question in this post. I guess I'll survive until next week.

Right on schedule. Let us get these two married as soon as possible. I have waited long enough. The question for me is, is there another two people more right for each other than these two? My answer is no., so on with the show.

We should know more next Sunday if they'll get married. LOL Thank you for your wonderful support.

Another fine edition to the Seth and Emma romance.
Couple of minor things:
"What does that have to do with you?"
(I felt this was a little snarky for Jake to say. Seems he would be more tighter)
This one tripped me up too, although, honestly, not sure why. Maybe just me:
Picking up his coffee cup, he realized it's empty.
(It is/it was or realizes. Tenses seem off maybe).
Just me?
Anyhoo, great character growth.

A well written chapter. I'm sure after Emma prays and some of her huge support team speak to her, she and Seth will marry. Emma will get her masters, and a promotion at work. Her students will love her too.
Good luck on the final chapter.

Thank you for your sarcasm. I appreciate it.

Yes, but more of a warning. I know you'll disagree, but I would caution you to really look at Emma's characteristics and how your other characters relate to her. Do you know what a Mary sue is?
-
I prefer to listen to my professional editors and my publisher. If I'm that far off they would tell me.

Fair enough.
But when you see some of the things greenlit in today's books, films and TV shows; how they are written, don't you sometimes wonder, what were they thinking? Look at The Marvels, Madam Web, or the Disney+ and CW shows. My God.

As usual, this was an outstanding entry in your continued story. The only thing I wondered was: why did he wait 46 days? I proposed on our second date, and thirty-one years proved I made the right decision! Also, like Emma, I was offered five teaching jobs. I had great student teaching experiences in two of the cities, but my parents begged me to take one in my home town. Worst decision ever! When, in God's timing and place I was ready, He led me to the best job ever!

God has a way of working things out, if we just allow Him to do it. Seth wasn't sure how Emma felt about him. Thank you for the kind review.

Such a beautiful chapter, Barbara. I loved the way Emma finally opened up and professed her love to Seth. He was kind and waited until it have been two weeks from the time her father died to press his side of it as well. They seem to both be growing from their time together.
Lovely chapter,
Hugs,
Rhonda

Brilliant, Barbara! I'm so pleased they have got that out the way, neither one knew what the other was thinking, and now it's out!! Now everyone will know and the wedding will have to happen soon, because she can't expect that poor man to carry on like he is! This was a lovely chapter, my friend. I really enjoyed it. Well done! Oh, and thank you for putting the line-dancing video on, I want to learn that in the privacy of my own home so no one can see me making mistakes!! Now I'm looking forward to the final chapter next week. :)) Sandra xx
