Well, this is a good attempt at writing a short poem, but i believe it can be made better. For one, birds 's wings are in pairs so i think that wing should have an s. Again there seems to be a missing link between the two main thoughts in the poem. cheers

Nostalgia and faith interwoven. It is only in my aging years I've learned to listen to the quieter things and enjoy the order of creation. The picture could be me in the late 1950s and my years of traveling while in the Air Force. Yet sometimes taking a Trailways bus home to Tennessee and walking along a country road to home.

great image in this short poem. I like your line about blossom and the birds hail. Great work. Strong message for a short poem.

Spring does have a tendency to get people out and looking for love. ~L~ Is it just the warm weather? The call of the birds? Who knows for sure, but lucky are those that find it. Nicely done! :)

The best of luck in the contest. I liked your entry because it seemed to tell so much more than the words you wrote. Of a time long ago, it reminds of pictures of my mother during the war. Like the woman is waiting for her love to return. Good job.

I like this and I like the picture. Faith of love is a great description for a deep and intense love. And the lady walking with a briefcase is going for her true love. Well done and godlike.

What a wonderful message for springtime. It's glorious to be able to celebrate at the beach under an azure sky with birds singing on high.

Lovely, universally appealing poem. I must say the woman in the picture looks exactly like my Mother would have looked in 1946. She is nearly 91 now. I had to look again and again. Everything about this photo says it is my Mother. Can't be, I am sure, but loved seeing it anyway. Good luck in the contest. Not easy to convey such a provocative and joyous feeling in so short a poem. For me the "birds on wing--hailing" were our airmen flying home from the war. I was ten in 1946.

This is one of the best short poems I have ever read. Of course, the retro photo with a personal touch adds even more meaning and substance to it.
