A live rape. Oh,those disgusting pigs!
You have just upped the tension to the nth degree here, Barbara.
Now they must find Cassie quickly.
Round three - well done!

What a heart-breaking time
for any mother, and to think
your young daughter has been
drugged and then raped, is so
devastating - sheer torture.
So glad you are coping, my friend.
Margaret.

I hope nothing happens to Joe. Sara is going to feel awfully bad for not telling him she loves him. She has some serious decisions to make regarding him and his dangerous way of life. I'll be waiting anxiously to see if he is able to bring Cassie home.

I've been following it for long, it is superb novel and now its peak episodes. You've done marvels in dialogues and expression.
Joe stared at Sara. "There'll be time for you to examine your heart and see if there are any remnants of love for me." He turned and walked toward the car.
Sara watched him exit the house and walk to the waiting car before she said under her breath. "Joe, I do love you."[[ These are now my fav dialogues]]

Hi Barbara,
Well you're certainly holding your audience to the tension on this one. Double tension with the strain between Joe and Sara unresolved and the missing Cassie still keeping us wondering.
Well done coming through the Chemo.

Hi dear. Glad the chemo is going well. You're a survivor...i feel it!! This is another good chapter with fine dialog adn good pacing. Just a few comma glitches to note-
*There was silence,(no comma) before she heard his voice again.
*There was a brief silence,(no comma) before Joe spoke.
*he hesitated,(no comma) before continuing,
*She walked to him, reached up,(comma optional--suggest deleting) and touched his cheek.
Sara watched him exit the house and walk to the waiting car before she said under her breath.(,) "Joe, I do love you."
Good emotional overtones in this chapter.
Warmly, rd
PS I am taking strong medication at the moment which makes my mind fuzzy so might have missed nits.

A live rape? That almost makes me physically sick. You've done an outstanding job with both the outer and inner turmoil of Sara and Joe. Naturally, in such a situation, everyone feels guilty and responsible. I'm impressed that Joe is worried about losing Sara, but I'm concerned he thinks it's riding on his finding Cassie. Of course, should she be killed the relationship would likely die, no matter how hard they tried.
I'm glad to hear you've made it through your third round of chemo!

After he shut the bedroom door, he walked into the living room. He took his shirt off, wadded it up, and threw it into a chair. Grabbing his stomach, he tried stopping the pain he'd become accustomed to since Cassie's abduction.
(In this paragragh the (he) becomes redundant. But, I'm not sure how to fix it. Maybe throw in a Joe somewhere to break it up)
Every morning when I open up FanStory and check my messages, I smile when I see you have another chapter. Very well done.
hugs Heidi

Hi Barbara! I hope you will forgive me for this late review. I am over 40 behind! I am so tired, and it's great to hear you are hanging in there too! It can't be easy. I wouldn't make it. Anyway, your story is developing nicely, like real life. It's always a slow process to find missing people, if they ever do. I hope you have a realistic outcome to this...well, yes, just a thought. Tired hug!! suse
