A wonderful post and entry for the writing prompt. My favorite line is:Only to bet your soul against the human unknown, (truly powerful and well said). The only problem I see is this seems to be a 'life lived', not a 'life almost lived', but regardless it's a great poem.

If ever a poem caught my attention for its intelligence than I have found it.
Great imagery and metaphor. Love the tone and the bravado in every line.
This is the carpe diem poem.
A must read that needs to sink through some heads.
Makes sense.

A very deep and potent poem that made me think about my own life and my choices, so for that reason it worked well! very good descriptions on life in genersl and the thought of being alone, : )

Within our journey on earth, we have the choice to go the
right road or the wrong road.If we choose the wrong way
within our lives, we have to face up to the consequences.
