In the cold light of day, the evidence of Anna's abuse is even more shocking. I'm surprised Bobby's parents were allowed in the house during this. They have no "standing" in the realm of property division. I'm not surprised by their support of their son, though. Well done, Barbara. :) Nancy

I think the mother just butted her way in to make sure Bobby was treated in her eyes fairly. Thank you for the kind review.

I have always thought that busy body mother in laws who are blind as bats make the worst kind of enablers LOL very well done chapter I can not wait for Anna to be free of this whole family of abusers and enablers

I was in the middle of this earlier and the website crashed! Anyway, I'm back. This is a great chapter Barbara. This would be so difficult to do - going back there as Anna has done. That Mrs Rodgers is a real nasty piece of work.

As if reliving those horrible moments when Bobby beat and raped her in her son's room, along with the bullet ricocheted off the washer, weren't bad enough, Bobby's idiot, and in denial, Mom comes in to foil the packing and moving. I loved this chapter. Reliving those horrible moments with her was heart wrenching. Great chapter. I will keep reading until Bobby gets "What he deserves."

Barbara, You're doing a great job keeping the tension high. The mother-in-law is a real keeper as far as the story goes. You do Anna's timidity well and I get that she is like that because of her experience of never knowing when the next blow would strike. The father-in-law seems to have a hint.

This was a very interesting Part three of chapter 8 tho read where Anna and Paul go to the house where Anna used to live to get her things and run into Bobby's parents. The mother's attitude makes it easier to understand why Bobby behaves the way he does, even though it certainly doesn't excuse it.
