You always do such a great job with these, rhyming every line is so hard, but you make it seem effortless. Just one stanza I noticed #6 'everyone saw, some creatures that none of them had seen before.' Since it near the sea, what if you said, 'standing near the shore....none of them had seen before' ? Anyway it is well done and very cute.

The rhyme scheme is effective as the rhyming is good. This piece flows well as the harmony pulls it all together. The passion of the writer is felt as this piece captures my attention from the beginning to end. Good job.

I really love your stories. It takes real talent to sustain a smooth, meaningful storyline and specific meter and rhyme scheme while conveying a profoundly meaningful theme!

Ok, I have researched the cost of having a refrigerated room added on to my house, and in this economy the expense is far to great... all hope is not lost though, I purchased a lottery ticket this morning when I went in to town to get coffee and a newspaper. :)
I am sad to say that I am out of sixes, because this delightful tale is more than deserving. Your writing makes my inner child gleeful. :)

This is a great children's story in rhyme. The cadence was well done as you counted your meter and conducted the rhythm with care. Great little story line and very entertaining. I stumbled over this line thinking their should be a the before the sea: We have some nice friends who live here by sea. I did not count your meter.

Timmy and Tommy are very prolific mice, and use their considerable skills to document their adventures with precision and panache.
Penguins playing on an icy beach with mice, rats, moles, and frogs make fun-filled scene, a great addition to your ongoing children's poems.
Cheers,
DW

How lovely. I'll bet the children just love them. I sure enjoyed reading this one.One suggestion. I think where it says, Cyril the Squirrel looked at Reggie(the) Rat. The should be in there.
