Excellent general layout and I can see that it rhymes well but you used so many words I don't know-being Dutch- I have no clue what you meant to say, sorry.

Sorry, Ine, about the lofty language, but that's the way the Rogue talks. Confusion is part of the niche. Thank you!

Your poem is well-written with rhythm, rhyme, & a playful cocky message that's believably roguish. The language is purposefully stilted, I realize, & it's well done in that fashion. However, I find the complicated word choices take away from the lightness & bounciness & playfulness, as the reader must take a few extra moments to decipher what is being expressed, every line or so. This interrupts your nicely designed rhythm, I'm afraid. Still, it's a great effort in the style which you choose (not my fave, tho). Thanks for sharing.

Excellent: "A true rapscallion never hears
The squalling of discarded tramps."

Thank you, barley girl. Yes, the language is chose purposefully to punctuate his arrogance, but I appreciate your honest opinion. Some will like that part the most, and some like you, won't. That's the beauty of poetry, in that there are so many tastes to serve.

Good abab rhymes.

Tells the tale of a modern day Casanova and so true if you meet someone who is a bit of a "free agent" in the beginning there's not much hope for change

I agree, Dionysus...and thank you very much for the wine that helps to sweeten the wooing words I...I mean, he...uses. ;) I appreciate the review!

With every maiden left in bed,
I ravage my quixotic past
To suffocate the words I said
When love was real, and thought to last. - certainly, no one could doubt that you are well armed with verse ...excellent rhythm and rhyme :)

Thank you very much, L.A. I appreciate that, and I hope I just don't run out of ammunition. I have placed a target on my back for certain. ;)

It shall be dramatic if nothing else, Linda. In my previous time here, I believe I was battling about 10 of the hens who would answer in verse. The Muse was a busy one. Ahh, good times. :) Thank you!

Sir, you are a scapegrace! This unreprentant rake puts me in mind of John Wilmot, Earl of Rochester - a devoted seeker of debauchery and a fine, witty manipulator of the English language in stylish, intricate poems. Long may you weild your sword in their faces.

Thank you, my rapscallion brother. Libertines forEVER!!! I appreciate the comparisons, as John is an idol of The Rogue, my alter ego, as well as Lord Byron, Casanova, and Jim Morrison. ;)

Dude, you're going to make me use all of my sixes before mid-week. I'm still laughing at this one, and probably will be all day. Just a hilarious "piece". :)

Chas, I really appreciate that. I'm never sure how these "pieces" will be taken. Hopefully not seriously. :)
