The only werewolf story I loved is "Silver Bullet" (where I got my pen name)... Have you seen it? I think, there are many creepy things affected by the moon. The scariest one is a human hailed to be a "lunatic".

Have I seen it?! I OWN it, LOL. Anything written by Stephen King, I've seen a gazillion times. It happens to be one of my favorite werewolf tales as well.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me on this one, bulletski. Much obliged!

Yey! We have another thing in common. I let my children watch all my favorite movies whether it is old or new.
God bless you and have a nice day! c", Mae

I find little that is forbidding about the moon because surely the night time is the playground of our souls and that is where the moon reigns supreme as queen. I am very fond of bullying father, Doc. Freud. He proclaimed the importance of a sense of the uncanny and mystery yet he reduced these things to biological concepts. Still I liked his preoccupation with dreams as being the royal way to the unconscious and to where the soul resides. Perhaps I did not do your poem justice but you did set me thinking. I find macabre your symbol of the wolf. I prefer creatures of feline grace. Go with God. -Ekim777

You did just fine by me, Ekim777. I appreciate your thoughtful response. We all have different likes and dislikes. We all see the world through different colored lenses. Our differences are what makes us individually unique and special. That's why our world is such an interesting place in which to live. You like butterflies cooing babies, and roses, I like monsters, mayhem, and madness. Yet, we can still hold a civilized and cordially enticing conversation.
Ain't life grand?

This man/beast story had me mesmerized all the way through, Dean. I'm fascinated by our persistent attachment to the myth of the moon's ability to change man to beast.
Very well done!
Warm regards, Bev

Thanks, Petriesan. Exceeding boundaries is always a good thing. Unless, of course, you're on the 38th parallel.
Have a great day, my friend.

Dear Dean - pleasant screams - yeah I got that one covered :) I agree sometimes truth is scarier...though let me tell you - you scare the wits out of me with your writing most times....and then I think of the effort of your creation, the ability to weave and pull at my emotions, those triggers that bring fear up a few notches and boy I say you aced it always.....great job, smooth and dark with just the right amount of OMG and PMP to do me in....
Thanks for scaring me again.

Really wonderful to read, so mysterious and spooky. I love the piece as a whole and it reads so well. Your author's notes ring true. Truth is stranger than fiction. It always has been.

Yes, and it's often where we who write in the horror genre get the inspiration for our most terrifying stories. Thanks for an awesome review, emjaihammond. I appreciate it!
