The cry of this poor soul, is sadly felt my way too many, who end up doing something desperate, just to stop the pain. Ironically, what ends up happening is that they create even more pain for themselves, and their loved ones.
It begs the question, why are we as humans so cruel to each other, causing them pain, to the point where they end up retaliating in such a way that simply prolongs the pain or makes it worse.
Although this poem is a dark one, it resonates with such truth, which unfortunately is the lot of many.

It is a dark story about child abuse by a daddy who
was a preacher no less. But the father gets his
due in the end. Flows smoothly.

I can remember as a little child say about 6 and maybe before the difference between right and wrong. I was not brought up in the church. For me knowing right from wrong seemed to be something God put in me at that early age.
Hearing bout the things going on in Baltimore the thugs know they are doing wrong. They love their sins.

It certainly does/photo I mean. Everyone has a dark day or two. We all have dark dreams. Did you see "Burning Bed" a woman in Michigan was acquited after she set fire to he sleeping husband. She did so after years of abuse. That was back in the 70's or so. That this is dark and for some so true is very scary. Well written, kinda fits country, except no trains, or mama.

Are you talking to me? I do not do that. In reviews I have noticed that the lowest and highest review is dropped. I don't add that. It does come up on review pages

You tell a great story in this. Excellent AABB rhyme. This is a familiar story. Things become so unbearable that the narrator takes matters into her own hands and gets rid of the one who's been causing problems. Great characterization of the father as a preacher, a supposedly "godly" man who had a secret. The narrator is on death row, and we get a sense of what that is like. The criminal justice system wasn't too sympathetic, either. It's the death penalty for this person trying to get out of a terrible situation. judi

I guess it's management's way of trying to puff up the writers. I don't know why we need to have a private message about receiving a six-star review, but there it is. The only time you need to worry is if you get a "1" or "2" rating from some joker. That sticks. judi
