Hello Author, I liked your Western Poem. I found it quite clever. I for one would definitely put Mr. Ed in with the western themed things. He was a western themed show! ;)

Ah, this brings back memories, some of which had faded. Another one I hazily recall is that Hopalong Cassidy had two -- a black one named "Midnight" in the comics and a white one called "Topper" in the later TV series. Clint Walker as Cheyenne in the 1955-1963 black and white TV series had a horse named "Brandy." Well done, and aptly illustrated.

Very well written and interesting. I'm a little too young to remember some of the western stars that you name, but I do remember Mr Ed and of course Francis the talking mule. I love this piece you've wrote! Good luck in the contest.

I like this. I grew up on westerns. I've probably seen just about everything available at that time that you can think of. My father was in charge of the TV and we had to watch whatever he had on. I enjoyed reading this well written western offering. Well done!

Hello author
Smiles I like how you wrote about the old time western cowboys that were so famous in the movies, I can recall when I was a kid going to the movies to see them and eat popcorn.

You cover all the bases I mean horses. No doubt age and generation makes the difference in understanding this poem. I like it because I understand it. LOL.

This is a very unique poem and you mastered it well with the use of great descriptions and the theme is also unusual but again you've provided quality and depth to the piece that makes it stand out and it hooks the reader as I didn't struggle to finish reading it, holding my attention. I like how you paralleled it to Zorro as one of the figures mentioned. An enjoyable read. Lots of good examples you used and highlighted.

It was not for nothing they called the westerns horse opera. The quatrains of rhyming couplets appear to meet the prompt in style...but here as elsewhere the horse clubs are shrinking. Too pricey.

I like how you put western shows and movies altogether. I think that the western culture was very different back in the day. Interesting read. Nice work!
