That was cool. Your style and flow were good. Loved how you incorporated his western works while keeping with the rhyming scheme, nice! If Clint read it, I'm sure it would make his day.......sorry couldn't resist.

In my opinion, a really charming and I would say, fun write, especially since Clint was one of my favorite actors and this writer's rhyming rhythm is smooth and easy - not at all forced, making my read that much more enjoyable What can I say but that I enjoyed my read and the entire presentation - good pic of Clint. Good luck in the contest...

Well, stiff, healthy competition is always a good thing, right, Anonymous Poet? Without it what incentive would we have to enter these contests?
The meager Monopoly Money being offered in most member sponsored contests is hardly an adequate reason.
The site sponsored $100.00 prize is a bit better, but we still covet those blue ribbons.
While I really like Clint Eastwood's westerns I find I'm more partial to his roles in films like Dirty Harry, Play Misty For Me, Million Dollar Baby and Gran Torino myself.

I don't do it for the Monopoly money, i do it for the attention. I love the movie Gran Torino also. I appreciate you taking the time to read and review my work.

Sure thing, anytime.
Comment from Gloria ....
This is just so very well written. You got him in many of his best roles. Clint has a lot more going on with him than a simple duster can capture, but you sure have done a fine job.
Excellent entry and best wishes to you in the booth. :)

Wouldn't it have been great to see Eastwood and John Wayne in a movie together? Both were such strong figures. I'm more a fan of Clint as "Dirty Harry" than of the spaghetti westerns he was in. You do a fantastic job of bringing in the movie titles and giving a little bit of info about them. Best of luck in the contest. Eastwood was a great choice to write about. judi

Comment from Hugh McDowell
Excellent. For anyone who has watched westerns in the last 50 plus years, this was a trip down memory lane. Nice rhyming to match the movies or tv shows that he acted in. Excellent tribute to one of the all time talented actors and directors in Hollywood. Hugh

First off I am a huge Clint Eastwood fan.
I loved your poem. You know what you are talking about.
Your rhyme and meter are great except for one thing, the last line. I would put "off into the sunset."
The one thing I can say about your poem is that I could feel the tumble weed blowing across the planes as I read it. Lol.
Please keep writing. I will be looking forwIard to future offerings from you.

Comment from Loren .
Smiling at this for both your wit and knowledge of this actor, not to mention your talent to putting in all into verse that makes sense. I loved that song "Paint Your Wagon," and agree that I thought Lee Marvin did better justice with it. Loren

A very well-written ode to Clint Eastwood and his contribution to the world in the Western movies over the years and was also a household name over here in South Africa.
