Hello mystery writer. Clearly your conformance to the 3-5-3 standard is right on. You did a good job with the story in your poem but I was struck by the comment in your notes. You indicated you would be starting your seventh decade. I had not thought about that ever. I decided to add it up and I will be starting my ninth decade in a couple of weeks. I don't think I'll think about than any longer. Good luck in the contest.

The older I get the faster time seems to go by. I didn't understand why until it was explained to me. We measure time not in how many years have passed, but by how many years we have left.

Thank you! Ah, the memories! I feel that I have less sand in the hour glass, ugh...

Yes! That's the attitude -- it is a chance to start anew, to make new plans and goals, to envision new things every decade, every new year, every day we awaken! This is a good use of this tiny form. Nicely done. Good luck in the contest.

Time does go fast and the older you get the faster it seems to go. An interesting piece in three little lines. Great entry for the contest, All the best, Laura.

This is an excellent entry in this 3/5/3 lune poetry contest. You've described my life perfect, and indeed, where has it gone? Somebody has certainly stolen it I think, well done, good luck, blessings, Roy

So very true indeed, I see you at the end of this new decade!
Comment from June Sargent
Well, I'm starting my seventh decade with a hip replacement. So, maybe not so strong...yet! But I will turn the page and start a new chapter. Great entry.

June, kudo's for you! I do hope your recovery went smoothly, My wife feel hard a week after hers and had to do a whole, new prosthesis. That was ugly...

You've written an excellent 3-5-3 poem for the year end
and the decade end. I nice symmetrical number in 2020.
Congratulations on your seventh decade.
Well done
Good luck in the contest and the decade.

You have made EXCELLENT use of all of your syllables in this profound, uplifting poetic statement! Much said in few syllables. I am approaching my seventh decade, and I feel as you do. :-)

Your choice of picture is superb for the prompt poem.
The topic is very appropriate for out thinking at this time of year.
Well done.
Good luck with the contest.

I have a particular fondness for the 3-5-3. It is a challenge to relay your message in so few syllables. I think you have done so in this work. I, too, am beginning my seventh decade and looking forward to 2020 and the chance to "start anew". Thanks for sharing.
