Well, it is a classic auctioning the man or woman ending, and we all knew Ali would come back, for the romantic ending.

notes:

"Cord and I broke up. He doesn't want me to return."
- Wait. Isn't this a lie?

"I heard he's heartbroken because you didn't want [to] stay."
- missing word

"I gave him opportunities, but he never asked or implied he wanted me around."
-What??? Did I miss him saving her from drowning? Protecting her from kidnappers, and an abusive ex-boyfriend, carrying her from the hospital. Following her to NYC? Did the reader imagine those things?
-Are you sure you're not compromising the readers' view of her intelligence?

"His male ego got in the way so he wouldn't ask." Tonia nodded for
-What?? Cord has been nothing but... the softest, knight in shinning armor ever written.

They're standing in line hoping for a date.
-WE haven't seen that. Strangely enough.

"Cordero, I love you. I could never be happy without you in my life.["]

WE haven't seen that. Strangely enough. (Did you forget the conversation with the three ladies in Ali's bedroom when they brought lunch to her??)

I didn't mean YOU were wasting my time. I meant I would be wasting YOUR time with my answers. There's a difference. I hope you understand. I do give your reviews consideration and have actually changed some things in my manuscript to make things clearer. Honestly, I do.
