This is an especially touching poem. I lost a baby at two months. Your imagery is beautiful. It is sad that the father never made it home. Well done.

This is so sad and so true for many. Such a high price to pay for service and dedication to the country they fight for. This poem shows how tremendous the losses of war are, a child now fatherless whose father never even met her. Powerful imagery and emotion. Excellent write.

This is a very emotional poem. "I recall you turned your head," and "It was you who were to see her first" were just a couple of the poignant lines. Well-done.

This was touching. I loved the expression and impression. You trailed this thought beautifully through a wonderful free verse flow. I cannot say there was anything that I'd suggest improving.

I read this twice because it was good and yet so sad. I like the powerful sentences that breakup the thoughts of the mother letting us know something happened to the father.
