This is a well written free verse which flows beautifully in the reading. Once we are able to embrace ourselves without fear or regrets, we are truly ready to live life in joy and share it freely with others. Nicely done and I thank you so much for sharing this with me.

It is so true that a person needs to feel that they have made choices which allows them to steer their own path in life. So often we are side tracked by obligations, fears, beauracracy, whatever. It all gets too hard and we take the comfort road. Your poem so wisely suggests that we 'go as pilgrim and seek our quest'. You then tell us that we should experience life through:lust, love, anger, tears and pain
Only to survive. I guess you're saying that to experience and grow, we need to have these human emotional adventures to come out more fully satisfied and rounded human beings.
Your poem is full of well meaning advice and written with energy and clear purpose.

I really like this poem. It's so heartfelt and I'll be reading it a few times to fully absorb it the nostalgia and feelings portrayed. I especially like "only to bet your soul against the human unknown"

It is true that we really are our own best friends. When we are alone we can only depend on our selves. Choosing our paths wisely, by listening to our inner self, is the only way to live.

I can't say I agree fully with a few of the sentiments here as it is nearly impossible to say one has lived a life of one's own choice such is the wind of fate, yet, there is a good poetic ambiance surrounding the write, there is also a certain optimism about the whole thing that is difficult not to like.

The realisation that you are your friend is indeed true . And you are one lucky person to have lived your life the way you wanted .Many of us are not so lucky ,being "the children of lesser Gods'.Your poem has a deeper ,yet straightforward tone that I went back and read all the previous ones. I liked the theme of the first one particularly.And the one where you were saved from the rough seas.fields of Stone had a stark tone to it . Most of your poems have water in the back ground and they have a deep philosophical echo (as your name suggests!).Looking forward to more.
