I like how everything flowed together. I lost my breath while reading . It brought strong images and emotion. Im not no pro in writing but if you can describe the smell of it all and the face of the rapist. ugh it gives me the creeps.

Gungalo...I was looking for one of your poems after you were kind enough to review a couple of mine....I was so sad to read this...it's a fantastic poem but I just hope this is you being poetic & isn't something that happened to you.... if it is something that happened to you though..i see a strong person & you're ok ...though I could be wrong......i was once you know, thought i had made a mistake when I hadn't. :D

It is not about me sweet one. Don't worry yourself as it was poetry to shed light on the horrors of rape. Sorry to hear about you. Love ya girl and for reading this one.

Wow, I wish I'd read this poem earlier! It is amazing. The vivid imagery, the intense emotion and the great meter make this poem tense, edgy and riveting. Definitely deserves to be poem of the month. Thanks so much for bringing to light such a wicked issue.

My Dear Poetess,
Suffice it to say that you have captured the horror and pain in nightmares so well that it can be called up again.
Those who have lost their innocence in the dark or the light know this poem by heart and by soul.
Such a shame that the topic is never handled with the grace and insight you have shown here!

After reading your comments I thought I'd check out your portfolio. I've been off and on here on FS for over a year. I used to be very active. This is exceptional. It is raw and emotional and very well delivered- sam

I got Poem of the Month on my first month on the site. I used to review all the time and post 2 poems a day. Now I just don't have the time. I am trying to get back to it. Funny how much you miss in a year. All new names out there now.

I hear you and that's me. Faithfully two writes a night and review everyone regardless of the so called money on their work. I just love poetry and like to see what everyone writes.

I hope you can keep pace. Once you stop, life gets in the way. I used to write songs. I have a CD with 9 songs on it. I work about 60 hours a week now and am gone from home all the time. Doesn't leave much time or inspiration for writing. Once I stopped it was gone. You have the talent. Keep it up

Thanks you. I'll be fine. Poetry just pours from my soul. I'd love to hear your songs some day. I do lyrics also but my fav is poetry.

Oh yeah, you work tooooooo much!!!

So Powerful! In a chilling way you took me there, a witness to the abuse of humankind. I'm glad I checked in and am not disappointed. You may not have noticed this about this poem, but work like this not only teaches, but has the ability to heal also.

Absolutely, Patrick!!! One of the reasons for doing it. Not for me but for many many who will read it. Thank you for your great review and take on it.

This is a late review, but just now seeing it--very emotionally raw obviously. As a woman it strikes a chord deep down in the pit of my stomach to think of such a thing and makes me sick to think of all the people who have gone through it

Thanks you. I so agree but we can't ignore it and must be aware of it because it does happen I appreciate your review of this one, girl.

Powerfully and compelling, the heart stops, the breathing stops, and all is felt in this instant where brutality wins. Innocence lost is violent, vicious, and sadly quite often ignored. You have tackled a subject that is not spoken about in "polite" circles, but as stated, happens every day, almost every instant. Stunning in the way it is told, you deserve all the accolades this work has earned and more. Brilliant write.

Very powerful. I felt for the victim. I could almost feel the way the victim felt as if it was myself. The flow was excellent. Well done on this work. I look forward to reading more of your works.
