The author notes is a nice addition to the poem, which I liked reading. The history of the railroad is one that fascinates, and I like hearing stories about the earlier times when it was being built. I like the picture presented when I read this nice poem.

It definitly reads a a song, a ballad or folk song. Reminicent of childhood and when life seemed simpler. To just be and discover life and all its interesting outlets. Hard to believe we once depended on the railroads for most everything! Enjoyed the read.

You can almost feel and hear the rhythm
of a frieight train, working it's way
from A-B.
Lots of little images for the reader to
have a mooch over and contemplate.

Whisper it does, smoothly and softly, lyrically down the screen and is very well written to my thinkin. I am from a rural area in south Ga. and have done my share of rail walking and your right, Nothing like it.

Great picture to go with this. I really like this and it as a poem or lyrics plays so well either way. I takes one back to thing of the great depression and riding the rails. I could see this in black and white. Great job :)

Very nicely done. Though you speak in your authors notes of this not being a progression of a story I felt it there. The way a story really is. Not fully there in description but emotion. This captures the heart and opens the imagination. Great job!

What a delightful poem you have penned here. I can imagine Johnny Cash singing this little ditty while riding in a boxcar and watching the countryside flash by. Great work.

This is a nice poem. It stirred up a lot of memories since my father worked over 20 years on the railroad. Thanks for sharing this.
