'I did it my way.' Your poem looks deep into the psyche and the emotional self to discover satisfaction with age. It was a most gratifying read. I like a poem that says something about life, as this one did.

I have to say I know what you mean. However, I thought the essence of the prompt was about a life you did not follow. Perhaps this interpretation is something they are looking for. The actual writing of the poetry was great.

This is an interesting free verse, full of opportunities, choices, results and anticipations. I particularly like this line "Only to bet your soul against the human unknown"

i thought this was really good. you really expressed the feeling of what you want to do with your life and what you should've done. I enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing.

It is great as we grow older to have no regrets. Probably everyone has one or two regrets, but it is great to be mostly content with what we did with our lives. Thank you for sharing this living a life of your own choice. This is well written free verse.

very well written and aptly described. Shows how life treated you and gave you too in return what you asked from it. Wish you all the very best for the contest and hope you win the same with flying colours in life...as life is jut what we make of it...how we treat it or how we breal it...its just a simple game to live day by day...
all the best once again.

Yeah, that's just what all of us should do. Have I? Ah, bits and pieces. Spiritually, as it were, for the most part. Materially? Well, after I've robbed a bank or two I'll let you know.
I really liked this poem. Made good points and did it with dash and style.

I really enjoy the message of self-reliance and taking the road less traveled but it may not be entirely true to assert that experience breeds self-knowledge and contentment at the end of a life. Its not the experience itself that enlightens a man, but rather how he internalizes the lessons afterward in reflection. Feeling and experiencing more than someone else can cause one person to be jaded where another is content and comforted to look up at the moonlight alone after a struggle; maybe heredity has a big influence here...
