This is a very good chapter, it once again reminds us of the despair people that had lived or are living in this situation struggle with...it is something so awful that satan has to be the master mind behind it. Just get you a little book and jot down some of the things your thinking about for your next book..I often have two or three thoughts going..I always finish every piece but more than one running. To me it's kind of God's way of saying you've got a lot of work ahead of you so you'll be hanging around here for a long time. God bless.

this is very well written, barbara, a great job writing this chapter about the painting that troy's aunt did of michael and anna thinking of herself as another charity case of his. i have a picture of indian blankets downloaded on my background. i went to bing and found some red and blue with white spots on them, a full field of them, they're beautiful. your husband did a good job on his painting.

A sparsely written chapter containing long stretches of dialog. It does the job, but you might consider fleshing out the stage directions or reactions - especially Anna's initial reaction to hearing Troy described as someone who helps everyone and Anna's initial reaction to the painting. It feels "flat". But it could just be me. :) Nancy

the heart still processes the trauma of abuse
and this page brims with some dashes of doubt'as to whether love or compassion still exists amidst broken
dreams.. sentimental write with images that
pierce the heart!

Beautiful Chapter! Very well written. I loved the casual an family atmosphere when Anna hugged Margaret, Betty, and Paul as she said her good-byes.
Sorry I can't take the offer of the muse... Thanks any way!
GREAT JOB Barbara
:)

Your husband must have spent some time on this painting that symbolises Anna's situation very well. Troy's aunt made a painting of the little boy, so nice of her. Anna is allowed to hang it in her house. But she is still haunted by the memories of her husband.

I love the way that you portray all of Anna's insecurities derived from being an abused wife. Its understandable that she thinks that Troy just regards her as another mission to help, her self esteem is obviously battered due to past experiences. Just tell your impatient muse to shut up for the moment, this ones doing great!

This is a beautiful painting!!! Your muse keeps you up at night too, huh. Mine becomes quite active at 10 PM. This is another great chapter. Poor Anna is so afraid of making a mistake that she can't even decide where to put a painting. I get that way when I am depressed. Every decision is just agony. Not a good way to live. Take care!!! Debbie

barbara:
It is easy to understand why Anna is afraid to think
someone as kind and thoughtful as Troy could be
interested in her in a romantic way. She obviously
has no idea just how badly he wants to take her into
his arms.
thanks for sharing
