Very interesting story unfolding. I've read 2 or 3 of yours so far and they've been excellent. You're very good with dialogue and the actions of the characters. I only spotted a couple of minor, minor snags, but doesn't deserve a 4. You need to close the quotation when the waitress says...about five minutes. And you need a question mark when Everett ask "Troy, are you afraid you'll get hungry this afternoon?" See, no biggy. We all over look little things like that once in a while. But very good writing, keep it up!
Blessings,
Wanda

You've done an excellent job of portraying the kind of people that Anna has dealt with in her past and that give her a reason to be afraid, barbara. The good guys are ahead for now. Well done! Bev

Barbara, very good as always. I can see how uncomfortable and frightening for Anna to remember and talk about Slim. I hope the nightmare for her ends soon.

Hi Barbara. Wow... a dangerous trio is in the picture now. I do hope the homeless man is 'just' one and not dangerous to Anna as well...:) Thanks for sharing this interesting chapter.

Hi Barbara,
Everett might to be closer to solving this case than he knows. Poor Ana is scared to death and I don't blame but she has Troy, Paul and Everett that will keep her safe...I hope. The conversations are as real as if I were standing there. Another wonderful chapter....blessings, chey

Great job at building suspense. This is getting really creepy. It is so thoughtful of her to think of the homeless man when she was in so much fear. Well written!!! DEbbie

Barbara, I did expect that the homeless vet was Sam, and that's a giggle to break up the rest of the very serious situation. This is developing really well. :) Nancy
