This chapter is filled with suspence. Now what happens to Anna. I think there still hope for her because of the smashed window. This was well written. Well done.

It angers me reading this. It is effectively and graphically told. My heart goes out to Anna. How ineffective our legal system is at protecting victims of abuse. I;m concerned for Anna's life.

I actually read the beginning of this, but have missed out on much of the middle. Only place I took exception was where you stated he slapped her so hard he knocked her off the chair. I think you could and should find a more dramatic way of putting this, even if it means a momentary POV change. ie "One minute the world was rightside up, the next she was sprawled on her side, her glasses across the room somewhere, everyone and everything blurred." Just my imagination there but for the violence involved, this didnt' provoke a lot of emotion in me, and as a once-battered woman, it should have. later and God bless, shy

Phew... I held my breath through this short chapter. Poor Anna. But I think she is quite brave in facing Bobby this time, maybe she has developed herself during the whole ordeal. Interesting chapter, as always.

I hated it because it was so violent, and women go through this every day. The action and the dialogue were fitting for the scene created, and left me wanting her to get away. So I will be back to see how she does.
