There are people who can see the past-present and tie them together into the future. Unfortunately, it has turned into con games to fleece the grievers out of the money. Less than five per cent are truly gifted. In a five year study I have met both kinds. This is very well written with an interesting story line.

Thank you, c_lucas, for your review and insight into the truly gifted. Because there are so many cons out there I feared sharing this story. I am glad you found it interesting.

Once a mill where I worked was beset by a plague of "miller bugs" that
looked like a blizzard and blinded the yarn-break photocells until we had to stop production. I find your account of life with a supernatural component most interesting. Excellent.

Hi Andre,
Hi Andre, a great write this one, with pathos, and mystery. I have a friend who is a shaman in the Celtic tradition. Lovely fella but seriously mystic!
Her eyes, her eyes reflected the shell-shocked weariness of a soldier who has seen things no one should see. - this is a great line that gives marvellous insight through extrapolation into the character and history of the shaman.
I opened the studio door and saw . . . thousands of migrating Miller moths fluttered around the room and battered the windows - I may be wrong here but I feel it ought to be fluttering and battering.
I learned that in 1985 my farther had - father.
My father had hoped this mural would take him places as a ceramist, but it only went as far as New Jersey. - this is great commentary as the sculpture for metaphor for this thought / hope.
so stupid to confuse Sun Dance with Sundance? - expressions like this root in reality. Different experiences and different circles. how could you know?
All the best

Thank you, G., for your generous review and comments on my story filled with pathos and mystery. I can see how your friend could be lovely but seriously mystic. Thank you for pointing out area needing corrections. Other reviewers said the same thing. Thank you for your review.

This is a great article, I think the thing I line most about it is jow you say at the end how these events actually happened and what certain things signified but in your writing you managed to mostly leave out personal opinion. The only views of yours they came across were about your belief in the shamans power. Even so you go on to show how she's only human like everyone else. I like that you let the reader make their own decision on the shaman and if she helped the family. The writing flowed and I think I only spotted one spelling or grammar error in the whole thing but nobody's perfect. Overall I really enjoyed your story telling, it shows you've been refining the skill for a while.

Yes, lyons88, very often I see storytellers ridicule people of different faiths and beliefs. I chose to leave the story open and "let the reader make their own decision on the shaman and if she helped the family." I did not want to be closed during the circumstances surrounding my father's passing. I am glad that my openness carried through. Thanks for your review.
