HA! A great fish story! And no one would believe it in church either, probably! Lol! I've had this happen before...once when I was a kid. My dad laughed for a week and finally bought me a new pole. Nice work, a fun read. S.

lol...good writing. I was laughing cause as a child I went fishing with my Grandfather and proceeded to lose one of his best rod and reels, so your story hit home.

The church I grew up in frowned on fishing on the Lord's day. Around here I'd say you hooked a big turtle. Not a bad flash on fish. I did not count the words. Good luck.

One of my most favorite things to do is to go fishing. I love to fish in a pond where I love. Huge bass and catfish. Very good story that's entertaining.

OH, heavens I so like this. I have actually witnessed this exact thing happening.only it was with my nephew who laid down his pole for two minutes. Those fish are really fast. So true so funny the pole is sitting in the lake somewhere laughing at both of us.
