What a clever play on words Janet. Lavender is a favorite scent of mine. I have Sheet spray scented with Lavender. Puts me right to sleep. Great Therapy! LOL Well done. Love the image and presentation. Nancy:)

Wow, this is an excellent haiku with all the elements required of the form. I love the wordplay in the final line as a play on smell and Italy. Very cool write and best in the contest.

I am pretty much ambivalent about the flowers, but the color I am fascinated by. There was a time when my macho self would not dream of wearing anything with such a color. Now I proudly wear my black suit with the lavender shirt, matching tie, buttonier and pocket square. I have received many compliments on the way that the combo looks and I have noticed that some of the other men in my circle have started to experiment with the same colors.
