A fine job, Barbara. I thought the narration read perfectly, but found one nit in your dialogue:

"Matt said Cassie's on her way to the hospital.">>seems like it would read better as "their way to the hospital" instead of just 'her'. Your call. Fine write.

Because I used Cassie it would be her, if Cassie was plural then it would be their. Thank you for your kind review.

barbara.wilkey,

I enjoyed this chapter as I have all of them. I like the way you write with clarity, emotion, and keep everything clean. Well done.

Once again this is a lively read.
At least Cassie is away from her captors and with her mum now.
Joe took the 'bull by the horns' and kissed Sarah in front of, making his intentions honourable I am sure.
A good pacey section of the whole chapter.
The treatment is really taking it out of you, Barbara. Bedrest is really important. Working hard is not to be forced on you.
Thanks for the update on your recuperation.
I am always so happy to see your next post as the whole thing is coming together.
God Bless and protect you from harm.

Thanks for the great chapter. I was so relieved that everything has turned out well so far. I feel I know your characters as real people and I'm concerned about their welfare. (Obviously the mark of a good writer.)
Merry Christmas to you. Make sure you get as much rest as you need. Let's hope the New Year sees you up and at 'em.Near the beginning you write FROM HIS BEHIND HIS BELT. Perhaps there's a word missing here.

I think maybe it has an extra word. Thank you for catching it.

Thank goodness he finally got her back. I'm glad it turned out that way and now maybe Sara will relax and allow a relationship to bloom! Although, he has to go back and get the other girls.
Merry Christmas, Barbara!

I was worried about you when I didn't see a chapter posted by you on Sunday. Today's posting confirms everything is OK.
I'm feeling greatly relieved.
As for the chapter, the action moves fast and the action scene has come alive. However, in this para, "he saw the man on the porch... hit that man. It's not very clear who got hit. Recommend calling him the short or stubby to make it easier for the reader.
A great job, as usual.

I orginally had the man described but used shorter two times in a row and was afraid I would get gigged for it. Thank you for your kind review.

I haven't had the chance to read all of this yet, but I can already tell it's fabulous. The characters, the plot, everything. I enjoyed it a lot, and hopefully will read the rest soon!

Happy Holidays,

Erzy

Another great chapter. I'm glad that Joe was able to rescue Cassie and be able to get them both out of the house safely. Great job.
