It's so creative to pull your story into this poem, Bill. I love the ending especially, as true love never dies. I believe we carry it into eternity.
Sending you my best today as always, and best wishes for the upcoming contest,

Great work on this poem. This has wonderful imagery and emotion, and flows together nicely. One spelling error I found:
Suddenly, in the quite night (change to quiet)
Nicely done, and best of luck on the contest,
-BT

Hi Bill, Thats a powerful poem. I like the way it makes a personal connection as war inevitably destroys families. Two spelling errors you should correct in the second stanza. Should be TRAIN instead of trin and WAVING instead of Waiving. Best of luck for the contest.
