deepwater, this is great. I can almost see this person hovering above their casket asking these questions. The flow was nice and I enjoyed the font and color, it added to the dreary feeling. Well done.

When I read this, it makes me feel like I am being handed down some great wisdom. The second to last line especially stood out to me, "My family I leave with examples to lead or given advice as to follow." It reminds me of what my mother says, that her mistakes are for me to learn from before I make them. I really enjoyed reading this.

This is an excellently written poem, which makes me think of my own mortality, at a time in my life when my mortality may be breathing down my neck. What will I leave my children when I'm gone? Have i done all I can? Many questions to ponder. Good job.

I'm not sure about the punctuation mark after "morn" but other than that I enjoyed this poem thoroughly. It is an excellent musing into an intimate place, and you employ repetition well along with much beautiful rhetoric.

A haunting poem, full of the well-described chill of the morning but also warmth of the human spirit. October has long been my favorite month.

It is hard to let go of life...when you both have regrets and times of glory...what we have accomplished in this life when it is time to say goodbye...I question my legacy now...very nice poem

Dear Deepwater: This is a poignant, beautiful poem about reviewing life as we look back. I think all of us would like to believe that we made a difference to someone. You have certainly done that through your thoughtful poetry. Artwork is a lovely match.
Blessings,
Jane

This is rather a sad reflection on life, your choices and outcomes. One can only do the best on the day you do it. It might be right, it might be wrong in hindsight, but it was your best choice of the day. I love the song "I did it my way". I do not want to follow those before, I want to do it my way and make my own mistakes. But I loved your thoughts here, Deepwater. Thanks for sharing. luv jada

Congratulations, this line Deepwater mention a great truth that we must never forget:
"My world one dream, I saw life without knowing if there was a tomorrow"
That's life is a dream that awakens us to a reality, and nobody knows if tomorrow it will have to live every day.
