Go your way and find peace. Whatever the conflict be-put it behind you and forget it. Look to a bright future. I see someone named Charles in your future. Betty

Fine rendition of one of the plights that afflicts man. It is a all too often overlooked part of our society, so I applaud you for giving it a voice. I like the way this poem is written. Very well done.

"...bend to the ever moving passage of time." I felt that line. I enjoyed reading this. The flow, the color, the intriging questions. I found myself searching for the answers to the questions you've asked. Great writing. Leigh

An internal conflict indeed. Does this man base his future on his past. Is his character judged by the impression another person has of him or does he move on and create his own character. So many of us are haunted by our past, but we have a choice to take those negative experiences and learn from them or stay stuck in the same place. I always say that most of us seek peace, but do we ever really get it? Another thought provoking and meaningful write! Well done! B

I am not sure how I missed this. It should have come in my PM's. I am glad I caught it on the front page. Life's journey, we just keep trudging along.

deepwater,
Aspirations = desires, longings, ambitions. I'm a little at a loss as to what the message is here. Perhaps if a man is convinced his desires are unattainable, he may as well give up trying. i don't know.

You raise some interesting questions here:
Will this soul of a man be judged by the heart of his partner?
If true, what outcome can benefit from this finding?
Would he stand as stone on principles
I don't think that we have much choice here:Or live under the premise of whatever happens he will continue his journey
The journey goes on no matter what we wish.

The first step in the peace process is forgiving yourself. This is very well written with very good imagery and descriptive scheme. Good job.

This is a nice piece of reflective poetry. The poem is well written but the language hides the meaning you intended. The arrangement of lines is beautiful. cheers
