Dear GW,

For the seas maybe warm but we must persevere. Though storms blow in we must ride out the rage. Good rhyming in your poem.

Warm regards,

Winslow

Wish that I had a six to bestow on this one..It was a very descriptive, interesting read for me..My hubby is a retired old sea dog, US navy sailor who tells me when its his time to go, he wants to be buried at sea..I will show this poem when he goes to work tomorrow, his now, civilian job....thanks for sharing, storm warning.

I like the internal rhymes and proximate rhymes like home/own and fly/survive
good alliteration in phrases like slowly slips and fight/flashes
vivid detail of setting and strong expression of emotion in this dramatic story

Quite a gripping tale of disaster and timely rescue at sea. I enjoyed the internal rhymes (or half rhymes) and the rapid progression of the story.

There were a couple of strange expressions e.g. a mountain I'll have to fly

storm warning.' This poem you have created here is written very well. I like the structure you engage in and narrative speaks for itself. Well done.

This is a nice story in rhyme. I particularly like the inner line rhyme, and prefer I,t this instance, to the shorter lines. You kept up the momentum all the way through to a powerful outcome.

I often wonder how many solo sailers are lost at sea, I must admit I would never be brave enough to do it myself! Well written poem, I loved the progressive narrative that weaves the drama intricately through the work! The end seems to to be the inevitable finish, the logical conclusion! Well done, well written, blessings, Roy.

Hi deepwater,

This is another poem that is written very well and tells a great, but also a sad story. You are a wonderful poet and I enjoyed this poem too. You sure have a nice smile too.

An excellent poem, really well done. Your words flowed well and painted a really amazing picture. Not only that, but your poem was full of emotion and fear and somehow ended peacefully, albeit on a sad note. Really, really well done :)
