Hi GW,

Ranching can be so hard, especially for the woman. But if she chose that life she must endure some hardships. Most ranches aren't close to any other so seeing neighbors everyday is most likely out of the question. You wrote this poem well, with a nice rhyme that is lilting. Well done.....chey

Ranching is a lonely life and requires much from the woman as much from the male. This is very well written with very good imagery and descriptive scheme.

Hi deepwater. I enjoyed reading about cowgirls and the lives they lead now and in the past. The artwork is pretty too. Well done

This was simply outstanding! You are an excellent writer, and i really enjoyed this poem. I liked how it told a story inside of it and still kept up the flow and emotion in it. Good job,

I'm going to have to call you Mr. Prolific--your muse is working overtime recently. I enjoyed your description of how this girl has left behind her "fancy ways." (I don't thing "cowgirls" needs the apostrophe in line one.) The picture you chose to illustrate your poem is perfect.

What true cowgirl ever has enjoyed pearls and Lace? I don't know that she was a cowgirl, but has become one. Us real cowgirls enjoy our jeans and tshirt, and would rather be aboard a horse than anything. Great job.

I understand you wrote as a tribute to cowgirls, but I am pretty sure it could be about military spouses too. I am sure other spouses would also identify with it. This is a good well written poem.

Hi Deepwater,

I though this was an excellent ode to the death of love's young dream.

A life to endure rather than enjoy, how often that is our fate. I thought this had a sad tone, though there were no inclinations towards regret.

The photo is fantastic.

A great tribute to the cowgirls ways of life. For to do all the chores while the man is gone and to take care of the house and children would be a bit over whelming. Great poem with good imagery.
Nice rhythm.
