I enjoyed reading this chapter of your book and have not listed the few changes that I would recommend because, for the most part, I have mentioned them in previous chapters.
Anna is certainly blessed to have such friends as Troy and his parents, as well as his Aunt Margaret.
Now, I look forward to the next chapter.

You have described the intricacies of the paper work involved in someone beginning the process of leaving an abusive situation. It obviously is not easy and takes a lot of help after the abused person makes the initial decision to leave. Very well done and an interesting read. Your notes are always very helpful.

Hi, Barbara. It is great that you have listed the different kinds of abuse. The chapter held my interest, too. It was not good for her bring up her ex behavior as a comparison. He certainly wasn't an example of a good man. Just because he was a poor excuse for a man doesn't mean all men are like him.

Barbara,
This is an excellent chapter where Paul lays out the plans for Anna and encourages her to rebuild her life. I'm sure the hearing for Bobby's crimes will be difficult for Anna.
I enjoyed this read and couldn't find anything to criticize.

I'm no expert being a reviewer; all I know i didn't find one boring thing in this chapter.
I have learned things I never knew about divorce and wife abuse.
I just hope what Anna's lawyer told her will work out.

Abusers always say they will change and they never do, not without acknowledging they're abusive. They always deny their behavior to others or blame their 'spouse', 'girlfriend' or they blame it on who they were raise. But a person can break that chain of abuse, if not I say stay away from them. I'd rather live in squallier than be involved with an 'abusive man.' There are also women who are abusive too. I digress, your dialogue is so realistic. I really enjoy this story, despite the subject matter because folks physically or sexually abusing the one's they claim to love makes me mad and shame on women who stand idly by and allow their spouse or significant other abuse their kids. Hell if someone dared to lay an hand on my nephew, Brandon, they'd be looking at the business end of my Glock 9mm. I'd recommend that chapter to other reviewers as a 'must' read. I look forward to another chapter, my talented friend. Thanks for reading my controversial ode to the F word. My dear, we need to have a talk - I love the Mom. She sure knows that Anna needs to be set straight since her expectations are so skewed from being married to Bobby. Excellent dialogue throughout - you're always good at conveying your characters' emotions well through their conversations. Brooke :-)
