You carried me from a Spring romance to a Fall wedding in just fifty-five words. For a "confirmed bachelor" that is quite an extraordinary feat. Good luck in the contest.

Hi, Bob, thanks for giving me a smile with your "I do" at the end. Good for you not to misspell the 'he' into 'she'... Looking forward to your posts.

I love your spring to fall images in your very short love story.
What an effective ending:They explored and nurtured love.
She cherished confidence of her heart.
When autumn leaves turned red and gold, he said, "I do."
So good to see you back posting.
Hugs, d

Seems like a simple story, red and gold, until I turned it over a time or two. All the elements of a good story are here but the meaning is elusive and ambigueous, to me anyway. I love that--a mystery, by Mastery. But I can see she won him over, whether or not, she did the proposing, what? Confirmed, perhaps, but a softie--indeed. A happy ending and they're hard to come by these days. Nice job, Bob and best of luck in the contest. Kenny

Does this mean the resulting beauty caused his hard heart to melt and their love to grow to the point that the confirmed bachelor was overwhelmed and decided to say 'I do'? Looks like you spent a lot or did a lot of work to promote a 55 word story, Mastery.

Hi, April. I'm not quite sure what you mean by your last comment? You shouldn't read more into the tiny story than is there though. I truly appreciate your time and review as always. Bob
I don't know why they have contests like this. Writing 55 words cannot make a story. I think someone is wanting real easy reads to earn their money. Of course, it could be good for the one who wins, too, maybe. They might get the money back that they put into it. That's what I meant. Of course, that's just my opinion.
Let me know when you have your book published, Bob.

Thanks, April I agree wholeheartedly now that I understand. Alas...if I ever get it published you will be one of the first toknow...Thanks again. Bob

An amazing little story, Bob. I can imagine how terribly difficult it would be to construct a story using exactly 55 words, but you've done a super job with this one. I have one question: Do you mean, in this sentence, "She cherished confidence of her heart" to say "in her heart? I'm not sure I understand what you mean by that one line. Anyway, it is a great story and it is very nicely told, with lots of visual details. You're very good at that. :p

Well that is a wonderful story about romance. Quick too. Love should be so simple. It is not such a creative story, but there is vivid imagery on the abstract of a relationship. Excellent work. Good luck in the contest.

Hi, Sunni. Thanks so much. Yeah....with just 55 words to workwith, there isn't much wiggle room as they say. They had to hurry up and get married. LOL...Bob

Hi Bob....it looked short to me so I counted words twice and got 52 both times. Aside from that it's a fine story, and I wish you well with the contest, Dave

Hi, Dave.. Know what? You were right. I don't understand because my word counter showed exactly 55 before I posted it. LOL...Ah, well. Thanks so much...I have now corrected it. Thanks again. Bob
