As always, your poem is written beautifully well. Right now London is such a wonderful place, that it's hard to think about the night mare of war in 1942.
What a fantastic use of words! Congratulations!

This is very well written about the terrible time in WW11 . a very sad time in our history. My dad did not see me until I was 7 months of age, Well written with great imagery, But we learn anything from it, I do not think so.

Hi Gary, this is a very poignant and haunting piece of writing my friend, as my mum used to say, 'you had to be there', there was also the destruction of Coventry and the bombing of Birmingham. But your words are beautifully descriptive and flow down the page very smoothly, Thank you for writing and for sharing.

This is a well written poem about an event that really happened. How sad it would be to have go through this. But how wonderful they did survive. Great imagery. Thank you for sharing this piece of sad history with us. I hope we never forget, Shirley

The only thing I can think of war to do is to keep the population in check. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

Dear Deepwater,
War is not good anyway to anyone. I understand your focus where is after reading your poem. The beautiful world goes to ruin within a second and you are remembering blast in London in the time of World War II. The safe London becomes with full of terror and horror because of war attack and everywhere got destruction and screaming of babies and children as well as for all and bad weather hovers surrounding. You have very nicely written this poem is meaningful to give message about horror of war is not beneficial. Thanks and regards. Kamal

'We Survive' is an exceptionally well-written and heart-wrenching piece. To survive this blood-chilling situation is nothing short of a miracle. God will indeed bless these justifiably terrified people. It was a privilege to review a work of this standard.

I can't even begin to phantom the terror and sadness of such an ordeal, yet it was there and sadness conquers all. Must we never forget.

This piece is written with a historical background - the London bombing blitz by the Germans during WW2.
The emotions of fear, anxiety and horror are reflected in the writing. The accompanying photo is heart-wrenching as it depicts the unfortunate circumstances of the child-victims. Homeless, hungry and maybe parentless.
It is a timely piece of writing. In view of the frictions between countries at present, the author reminds of the futility and the horrifying effects of war.
I believe "re lived" should be one word - "relived"
