This is so lovely. Each and every word radiates with your passion for those two special ladies. I'll bet they are watching you from heaven.

Hi there Deepwater. What a lovely tribute to two important, loving women in your life. Very nice and I'm certain they know! I think I might walk "through" time and space, rather than "from" it. Just a thought. Also,
"not so sad" sounds like your were sad but not terribly sad
Perhaps "never" would work better? well done

I would expect the same from you with reviews. Even if the writer never pays heed, at least other's opinions are known and it does cause one to think and become a better writer no matter what. That's what I'm here for anyway!

This is a lovely and poignant poem that bring picture from the past back to my own mind. I love the way the stars whisper the names of "mom and gorn," and know how it would be to see them in your dreams. Best regards, Jeanie Mercer

Lovely little poem, but don't you mean "gran" instead of "garn"?
I'm so glad your memories make you happy and not sad. It is good to gain strength from those loved and lost.
Best wishes,
Nadia

What a tribute! I like the simplicity of this poem. Free verse always expresses so much emotion, and this one does also. Should garn be capitalized as a name? Thanks for a good read.

What a sad, yet great piece of poetry! The reader can feel the pain of the author as they read and I'm sure that more than once, the reader also shared in that tear from the heart!

deepwater,
what a lovely photo of your mother and grandmother. Your poem is beautifully written with ritch imagery. Excellent rhyme, great narrative, and very descriptive writing. I especially enjoyed the lines:
I do think of you both from time to time,
Knowing we'll be together again some day,
Remembering little things in life
We cherished along the way,
Dear mom and garn I miss you dear
But see you in my dreams
The stars at night do whisper your names
My heart still carries a tear,
You poem is very moving. Impressive job. You are a truly talented writer and thanks for sharing. . .Melissa.

This was sad but sweet, Deepwater. Your memories come in to play well and you recall all the little things which mattered so much. I enjoyed the poem and the presentation.
Well done. luv jada
