The railroad did its part in the taming of the west. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very easy read.

Your poem has touched the fibers of my soul because my early years were spent in the capital of the trains. Fine sensory images. Fluid lines. I really liked.
Congratulations and greetings.

Hello, my friend- have missed you. Love this railroad writing that takes the reader away with your sentimental feelings. Very well done! You painted a beautiful picture here- presented beautifully as well. Your friend, Betty

This words spoke to me of long ago times on the railroad. Those were quite times, hobos rode the rails and there was a feeling of romance on those rails. I enjoyed this very much. Blessings.

What a great poem victortouche. I used to walk the railroad tracks behind my house and it, was as you described in your author's notes, a place of peace and felt history. I certainly can see your lyrical/musical quality with this piece, and I really enjoyed reading it immensely. Warm regards, Bev

I really liked your railroad poem. It was written beautifully and just sounded great. I, too, grew up in the
Midwest, and use to walk the tracks, and think about the hobos who went before me, but I never thought to write about it!

Victor, I love this wonderfully lyrical poem with its rhythmic, slow cadence, which could easily be adapted to a blues song ... harmonica and sax arrangement ... I think it's one of my favorite from the others I've read from you. The artwork is a perfect match. Great work, my friend !

Your author notes are superb-you have good imagery and a good flow with your poem-you write with emotion and have enlightened me about wild asparagus--I have never ate wild asparagus but I love asparagus--your poem tells a story-about how you have traveled this railroad many times and thought as you walked --I love where you write(Walked your tracks for many a mile-Used your ditches to sleep a while)--I feel that you could write more--but you have written a wonderful poem that could be metaphor to life as we live--well done.

Oh man it does whisper but it also sings. I love this and think it's way cool as my kids would say. I grew up near RR tacks and I LOVE the sound of them coming and going, that's how I went to sleep at night. So I know what your talking about. Man a long for those trains at night. Thanks for reminding me of it again. XO Vicki Super poem!!

I really enjoyed reading your poem of the railroads. I remember walking the tracks, watching out for cops, so we wouldn't get in trouble. Your story flowed and ran as far as the eye can see, just like the tracks.

Well I used to watch out for cops too, but not on our lonely country railroads!
